This is my first attempt at making a 1,500 pt list. The opponent I often play uses dark angles and likes termies. Let me know what you think!
12 phase out
Also, should I split up the heavy destroyers for extra coverage or will this hinder the WBB benefit too much?
Sorry, it looks like I posted this thread twice somehow...

All in all, a very good list! However, I would ditch the two heavy destroyers because they are a huge points sink and only have 1 shot each. So instead, take an extra ordinary destroyer to make 2 squads of 3, 2 more warriors and give your lord veil of darkness. This item is essential for transporting the immortals around in good firing positions and getting them out of trouble.
Hope this helps and good luck!
No worries about posting the list twice! Just watch out for double posting and posting stuff in the right forums
As for the list. I like it a lot pesonally.
I really rate heavy destroyers. They perform a unique role in the Necron army - a terminator/extended carapace (carnifex) killer gun.
If you do take them - then put them in seperate squads but have them close to each other. That way you'll benefit from WBB and still be able to shoot multiple targets.
If you want to take the warriors as 3 units, you need a monolith or they are kept in reserve.
However you could just split the warriors so they are only 2 units strong with the same numbers of warriors.
Your list is fantastic. Heavy Destroyers are great. To answer your question, do take them as two seperate units but fly them with WBB range of each other. This will allow to shoot two different targets and also force your opponent to fire on two seperate squads if they want to prevent WBB. Personally, I would focus fire on one squad at a time. You will need the AP2 weapons for the TDA and hope they fail their 5+ iSaves.
Be judicious with your Scarabs, don't use them to tie up any TDA squads because those PFs will take out a whole base per wound inflicted. Use them to tie up Dev squads or Tac squads.
If I were to change one thing, I would drop a Warrior from each of the "11" squads and use the points to put dFields on all the Scarabs, then you can go tank hunting with them as well.

Thanks for the constructive feedback guys, I appreciate it! I think I'm going to keep the Heavy Destroyers in the list and consider disruption fields for the Scarabs (the scarabs are honestly one of my favorite units).
I also did an interesting calculation which compares the cost/benefit of heavy destroyers compared to regular destroyers. Maybe I'll post that in a different thread under a related subject. First, I need to determine what I can and can't post regarding unit point costs, number of attacks, etc. I don't want to break any copywright laws. Could anyone point me to where I could find the rules for this kind of thing?
Hi Soulkupc23, here's my comments on your list:
For 1000 points, I think 10 immortals is overkill, and while they are arguably a "defining" point in many necron armies, and I use them too, ONE big, heavy squad like that can easily be zorched. I would only take a full squad like that if I'm planning on doing the "Flying circus" tactic (lord +VOD +immortals blinking around)
In my list, I have them cut down to 6 or 7 so I can take more warriors or destroyers(but I think that's probably just me)
I also, usually avoid the second heavy destroyer until 1850, while they are good, and fill that niche role, I'd rather see a second squad of destroyers. 2 squads of 3 is better than 1 squad of 5 in my mind.
At 1500 pts, disruption fields for the scarabs are a must in my army. While they *can* be a speed bump, once in a while you get a turbo-boost opening towards artillary or a really annoying tank. When your oponent realizes you turbo boosted towards his precious tank, Most of the time I guarantee you that the shooting pressure will change from whatever(immortals/destroyers) to the scarabs.
Hope this helps.
