Hello there! I'm new here, well, I've been registered a bit but this is my first post. Starting out collecting eldar again after a long break. Having to start afresh also. I've tried to make myself a well rounded 1000pts army but I've been struggling a little.
Farseer; Ghosthelm, Rune Armour, Shuriken Pistol, Singing Spear, Runes of Warding, Spirit Stones, Doom, Fortune
Harlequin Troupe; Troupe master w/ power weapon, Shadowseer, 4 w/ kiss 4 w/ no kiss
Dire Avengers; Exarch w/ Bladestorm, 9 Avengers
Vyper; 2*Shuriken Cannon
Wraithlord; Twin Flamers, EML, BL
Total: 996/1000 pts
I'm debating the pathfinders though I think they'd be handy for command squads/marines (does MEQ stand for marine equivalent btw, it's all I can think it might do and it took me 2 weeks to do so!). I was also struggling to chose an HQ unit. I've gone with the farseer but I really wasn't sure what would synergise best with the other units I've chosen. Was debating some form of Autarch or even mr. Avatar but I really didn't know.
The vyper's only really there for a berzerker charge with lots of decent str shots, And mainly because I had 80 pts to fill cna couldn't find much else, but any ideas would be appreciated!
I've rambled enough now, let rip!

basically you are very light on anti armor weapons. The one EML is not going to get you very far I suggest tooling the wraithlord up with a BL and EML. That way you have a much better chance of taking down whatever armor he is shooting at.
I honestly probably would not run harlequins at less than 1500 points. They are just too expensive to really equip effectively or end up taking much needed points away from other areas. I would drop the harlies and run two wraithlords. One with BL+EML and one with EML + SL.
IRON WITHIN, IRON WITHOUT!
I survived LO Chat thanks to: Karmoon, Rabbit, Process, Tossy and Meish.
Hmm I thought I had given him a BL/EML. D'oh. That was my intention >,>.
And about the harlies; really? I'm scared enough of trying to paint them so leaving them doesn't bother me too much though they do seem spectacular.
edit: saw what you would take instead. I'm worried the 2 wraith scenario would leave me very melee light and very melee vulnerable..
Any HQ suggestions?

OK appologies, I have cut your link out, you are breaching GW copyright on that site and so am unsure about how it applies to this site, please list your army to the established standard
as per IA, you were light on anti armour,
unlike IA I am far happier with harleys in 1000 points + than pathfinders
to be honest, HQ is a tough one, generally I think you need to consider how many targets you are offering him for his anti tank weaponry
Wihtout tanks, (serpents, falcons and prisms) the next viable targets are wraithlords and avatars, offering him one will give him easy points, either field none of that lot or many of them, clearly that would effect both your WL and the potential use of an Avatar
Autarchs dont work unless paired with shining spears
so Pheonix lords or farseer?
Next Q: Siam Hann? that is what the blurb says - so where are the jetbikes? 1 measily vyper??????

Everything you have been told is a lie!
What would you suggest to replace the pathfinders? It's them I'm less sure about than the harlequins.
True, both would draw a lot of fire.. But I'm not really sure how I'd replace them? Light armour? Vypers & War Walkers? Fire Dragons in a transport? Too many options! >,<
Speartarch was my plan but the whole thing came to half a million points so I ruled that out for a battle of this size.
I guess the farseer will do quite nicely, I was just wondering about Avatar really. While we're on the farseer thoughts on his setup? I'd love to bike him but can't really find the points for that.
And yeah, I just clicked Saim Hann on the army choice thing in the programme because my craftworld's not there and it makes literally no difference these days and so I just picked one. It's not actually a rider host!

U can keep some pathfinders but in a 1000 point list i don't think 10 is really nessisary(spell check)
I would keep the farseer but maybe change him up a lil bit.
Farseer, Jetbike, Doom Fortune, Spirit Stones, Singing Spear. Love this setup(Also u could change doom to mind war)
''Quality Over Quantity''
Indeed, I'm seriously considering dropping the Pathfinders down to either a minimum squad of rangers or scrapping them entirely and getting either a guardian squad of some sort or a second DA squad.
Should free up some points.
that's sort of what I was after with the seer the jetbike is really nice addition. Why MW over doom though? Doom seems like an excellent way to help shred a squad w/ bladestorm, no? I know mind war allows "that lascannon's looking at my vypers funny!" type action though. I've noticed a lot of you don't seem to like Doom so much. Does it just not turn out to be as helpful as it sounds?
Was also wondering how well Vypers work as mobile tank hunters. Tooled up with BLs or somehting. Still thinking around the AT problem..
I don't Like the idea of giving vipers BL's because they tend to miss ALOT and there xpensive. if u want anti-tank u should try looking somewhere else. With Vipers best setup is Dual S.cannons and thats it Keep it Simple.
Probly the reason i like mind war so much is because i played with the old codex alot and also because eldar have alot of high strenght weaponry newaze.
And u can use the farseer for some anti-tank if u want it works very well with the jetbike and singing spear.
''Quality Over Quantity''
True.. Maybe doom's not that handy. Though with Bladestorm it could be really nasty; double the shots + more wounds = more forced saves = more likely to kill. MW has a nice assassination aspect though..
Maybe I could nab some firedragons for AT purposes, along with my farseer should be ample in a game of this size. small squad maybe in a WS or something gonna fiddle with the list and come back with a revised list.
