I have heard rumors that the Necron Pylon will have rules in the Apocalypse codex.
Does anyone think something like this is viable for actual use?
(Not that i'll be buying one at the price it is. yeesh)
I reckon so. It's basically a stationery piece of artillery that packs a hell of punch (slightly more powerful particle whip). It's relitevly tough and you can use more than one!! I say it'll be perfectly viable seeing as though i'll be using all 4 c'tan in my apocalyspe army8X
It is already perfectly legal for use in a normal armyi think, the only problem is baing able to afford it! Although there are also rumors of a plastic one being made by GW
palon would be almost a must in an Apocalypse army because it is the only necron thing that i one of that has a titan killer rule so unless gw brings out an adion for the monalith or sumthing i think there wil be a lot about in the near future
and plastic would just make it all the more afordable
"Their number is legion, Their name is Death"
and is it really that detailed that they cant turn it into plasic?
if they can make a plastic baneblade they can plasticize a pylon

Yes hte Pylon exists in Apocalypse.
Though IIRC its technically worse than the IA version sicne its gun is now a single weapon with multiple firing modes (the IA one was basically a monolith with longer range a titan killer or AA).
Does anyone know of any "how to" for scratch building a decent looking Pylon. With a 3:1 ratio on my currency to the pound, anything forgeworld is out of my price range.
you can check out the FW model:
i think you'll get far with some plumbing pipes (the wider ones) and some crystals from a hobby store.
Got a "good" rumour from a GW staffer? Forget about it, LO'ers know more than any random GW shop staffer.
