Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well for Christmas i received the gift of Orks. i have never played 40k and am not quite sure how to build my WAAAAGH, so any advice will be greatly appreciated. so here is what i have. 1 box of space ork boyz, 1 war bike, one war buggy, now i have ... acquired.. from my younger brother another set of da boyz a war truck and miscellaneous orks so if anyone could give me a push in the right direction on how i should out fit them build up and what else to get that would be great my foes will mainly be a tau army (with no kroot) and occasionally an army of space marines anyway thanks
Well i havnt been playing with orks long myself but i've just about got 1000 pts.
I recomend that as you only have one squad of normal space orks that you make them sluggers and to get them into combat
Orks, the gift that keeps on giving (head trauma).
Well as a budding ork player i can suggest one of two things, either configure yourself some sluggas (cc oriented orks) out of the boyz and start getting used to the painting and converting aspects of the greenskins. However keep in mind we are getting a new codex soon, so i would avoid trying some major army building for the time being.
However if you want to start playing sooner rather than in 4 months or so, get yourself a codex and build a combat patrol (400 points max, no hq needed). Against krootless tau the need for that trukk becomes all the more apparent. as they can shoot you to pieces fairly easily before you get into choppa range.
Anyway, thats all the tips for now, if you need more I'll check in a few more times in the next week or so.

Get some Killa Kans, enough said.
But as I don't think Killa Kans are getting a model update next codex, taking them wouldn't be a waste of money in four months. Same goes for kommandoes, as they received a new model not to long ago. Although this can be faulty advice as they may getting a rules change that nerfs them to the Eye of Terror. But I doubt that wil happen.
