    Apocalypse and Nids - Why Not Brought Up Yet?

    So, I'm curious why no one has broached this subject, but there are some great 'Nid posters in this forum who I love hearing the flipside from.

    Curious what everyone thinks they might end up doing?

    I went through the mass of my Tyranid collection and realized if I use pretty basic biomorphs, I have about 250-300 fieldable Tyranid models and perhaps 6,500-8,500 points depending on biomorph load-out.

    I've got maybe 70 spinegaunts, 70 termagants, 70-80 hormagaunts, 40-50 genestealers, 4 tyrants, 4.5 carnifexes (one broken old one eye), 8 raveners, 24 or so warriors, and a host of other things including like 6 lictors and blah diddly blah. Buying stuff on e-bay left me with a bunch of models I couldn't use ... but now ... :w00t:

    Remains to be seen if you'd ever really field all that in one fight, but I AM quite curious. What's anyone else's "full" army situation and plan?

    I think it has something to do with the fact that no one wants to consider the implications of a Carnifex "Tank Company"

    3000 points of gaunts won't fit in my car...

    Oh I definately would, just be putting a lot of zoanthropes and/or warriors around the broods to maintain synapse...

    If you have no FoC and can field everything, why wouldn't you field the gaunts ALSO?

    I haven't seen any official rules yet on Apolcalypse, does any one know where they are?

    Still, I think what would be great is if they take off the 0-1 limits. Fielding a whole army of deepstriking spore mines and lictors would be insanely fun. Nothing on the board to kill and everything is a surprise attack:ninja:

    A ravener heavy list would also be wicked. Just put all the raveners in separate squads. Just think of all the divided fire and rending.

    I heard you'll be able to deep strike 5 carnifexes as a group... But then again, I think I saw something about deep striking 3 monoliths together in a triangle, boosting whatever necron-y things are inside those monoliths ;S

    edit: And to actually answer the question in the first post: I don't have that many (well... maybe) points worth of models yet, and want to focus on <=1000p atm, but if what I typed just above this is in the book, 10-15 dakkafexes would be an awesome sight to see being dropped down on a table... If you get several FoC:s (which would be a pretty likely assumption) 300 spinegaunts amounts to 1500p... {goofy}

    There would be lictors too, so everything wouldn't be dead, but they can't count as scoring units so it doesn't matter{goofy} Never said it would be an effective one, but come on, that would be a fun list to play.
