Depends on what the kill team is comprised of, if its solid genestealers or lictors you are likely to do well. If you include gaunts, then it becomes iffy.

I agree with you if you are thinking of just regular gaunts. I have a 'nid kill team that kicks @$$ and still has gaunts in it though. You just got to buff 'em up, convert them a little. Then they can be the key to your slaughterfest.

And all stealer list is pretty wicked for kill team, however if you are playing for fun, take some devourer gaunts; hormies would be cool except you are paying for speed that you don't get to take...if only we could go back to normal scthying guants. Also I don't think lictors are legit because they have multiple wounds, otherwise it would be fun, though challenging to play with 2 lictors.

--- There was a "Chapter Approved: Tyranid Kill-Teams" article in WD 307UK, and that lists the option to play with two Lictors along with some other changes in the way Tyranids play the Kill-Team game.

Personally, I'd like to play a Kill-Team variant using the Red Terror as the sole KT member and fielded with Backstabber (/being a nasty, cunning predator) and Ladders&Grapnel (/"Flesh Hooks"), with the opponent gaining full benefits for their Brutes because I am breaking 2 Immutable and 2-3 Mutable KT laws... Nevertheless, it strikes me as the sort of scenario that would be lots of fun to play. =)

I can really see some Lictors and Genestealers striking deep behind enemy lines to assasinate a general or leech information from his brain!

Medusa V was the perfect example of where a Tyranid Kill team would be perfect.

Also, a cool thing you could do would be use a tyranid KT for part of a campaign (1st stage of invasion all lictors and genestealers). Medusa V I agree is a great place to start a Tyranid KT. Yeah.

i usually run genestealers, lord and lictors for my kill teams. they are loads of fun to play. Kill teams i reckon are best in cityfight. it gives the nid player such an unfair advantage.
