Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm trying to bulk up my force to that final magic 2500 (just a goal I set for m'self before I switch armies/games). So I buy a pair of Raveners from my local, beloved rogue trader. Open one of 'em up, and got to town filling and pinning, get one side of the arms on. Yay.
And then I start on the other side. Turns out I received two Right scything talon arm sets, instead of a right and a left. Anyone had this happen?
So do I
A: Vetch to GW, offer a trade or sommat (Has this worked for anyone?)
B: Suck it up, buy the individual arms from direct order (If possible)
C: Convert away, changing over rights for lefts with dubious usage of green stuff.
I'm a cheap SOB, but I still like getting at least a quality product if I'm charged through the nose for it.
Though I suppose I could just order some Rending claws anyway, did want to put them on. Fewer conversions that way.
Do not meddle in the affairs of Tyranids, for you are crunchy, and good with ketchup.
Definitely call Games Workshop. They'll mail you the missing pieces for free and you can keep your old bits for conversions later. I got a battleforce that was missing a MC weapons sprue and had an extra gaunt sprue. Called GW, they mailed me the missing sprue and let me keep the extra. Got free gaunts out of the deal.
Do you still have the packaging? If so they would like some information off of it (lot number, so they can track who made the mistake).
"The internet perceives censorship as damage, and routes around it."
You can ask them to fix the mistake. However make sure you are polite as often fixing this problem is up to the person you talk to. Be snappy and they will just tell you that the package says contents may vary from those shown.
I have had quite a fair few mispackages before, once got two right handed Axe arms on a Dwarf character... half the amount of Metal Heads for TSons etc etc. I recently asked GW to ship me a single metal Guardsman because they forgot one in my order (a huge box with a kneeling Praetorian, about the size of your fingernail)
I agree with Leech and Magnet_Man- be polite, and chat with the person who provided the models. They'll get in touch with their supplier, and GW will send you the bits. Just do it as soon as possible

It's not like a sprue or even a metal bit costs a bomb for GW. They'd rather keep your business by sending you something that costs about $0.20 than refuse and lose you forever.
