Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm wondering which units work really well together, and which ones you've actually used with success. I own neither Flayed Ones or Pariahs, but I'd imagine that a unit of 10 FO backed by 5 Pariahs would be scary. They could sit and wait for assault armies to move in, while the Pariahs shoot. Then, any unit that wants to assault the FO would have to make a Ld check at Ld7 (from the Pariahs) against the FO's Terrifying Visage. The Pariahs could then assault into the combat with 10 Warscythe attacks. This wouldn't work against fearless troops, but everyone else would suffer.
What other combinations do you like?
Well i prefer a unit of wraiths together with a pumped up destroyer lord with wraithscythe. For me is the ultimate CC necron unit since the high initiative and the number of S5 and S6 strength attacks. They can kill almost everything!!!
I too put in the vote for a Dlord and a unit of Wraiths, backed up by a large scarab unit for their fast assault. Scarabs to hold up annoying or dangerous units, and the Wraiths to do the killing.
Another combo i like is Flayed Ones (or wraiths) and a Monolith. Deepstrike the lith near the enemy, teleport the FO from cover out of the portal, then get them straight into assault.
I'd have to say 2x Monoliths work awesome. One is hard enough, but the game kinda hangs on if it stays alive to do something or it gets broken. With two, they can both work in tandem, you'll have a backup teleport/recycle whilst still having an Ordnance blast, both can use their bulk to block movement/tank shock enemies out of the way etc.
Aside from this, I think 2x Destroyer units used as a single 'big unit' also works wonders, as long as enemy Ordnance is not looking at them! It ensures you don't need Spyders, as there is always another unit very close by.
Another one is Veil + your army. Teleport out, and leave the opponent looking down your gun barrels....
