    Eldar Fast Vehicles

Ok... just want to make sure I have this right.

An Eldar Wave Serpent can move up to 24 in the movement phase due to it being a fast vehicle. If it is equipped with Star Engines it can then move an additional 12 in the shooting phase?

    Yes.

(Otherwise star engines would be pretty pointless )

It's actually pretty important but I interpreted star engines as adding that additional movement in the move phase, then I just can't shoot later.

However 'in lieu of shooting' does seem to imply its in the shooting phase.

That should make a considerable difference actually, if my serpent /w missile or lances waits, then say my fire prism kills the enemy tank and I'm left without a target I then choose to boost.

So I could decide to see how effective my shooting was to see if my serpent should back it up or boost ahead. Wow, that should make a considerable difference to my tactics

Two questions on this topic. How far can a Wave Serpent go and still unload troops? How far can it go and still shoot? (I'm hoping 24" is the answer for both).... is it possible to fly forward, drop off troops, and go another 12" with the star engines?

    Thanks!!!

This is covered by the BGB and the star engines entry in Codex: Eldar. Seriously, read that first before asking questions here.

Oh might smiter.... Please don't smite me. I'm at work and trying to figure some things out before the Hard Boyz tourny. I don't have the rule book with me and this question has been bugging me since lunch. Sorry if it bugs you....

Heh. Just remember that we can't give you rules directly. We can clarify issues, but it could cause trouble for LO if we hand out that sort of information.

Just remember it all works in multiples of 6"

If you remember they're 'fast' vehicles and as Rork said that they work in 6" then you shouldn't have a problem remembering it for later.
