Welcome to Librarium Online!
hey i'm going to be battling a IG army on the weekend with the Xenos Eldar rules and LOTS of tanks, how about some tips for a guy trying to destroy 2 badass executioners.
For the tanks: dark lances are your friends. I'm a big proponent of the 3-dissie Ravager, but if you're facing a tank-heavy force, you can't do better than dark lances. Put three of them on a Ravager with a night shield, and sit back and pop the tanks. For the hoards of troopers you're likely to face, dissies and shreaders are great, as are wych squads -- if you can get them into hand to hand in the face of massed lasgun fire.
Go all lances on raiders and save the distentegrators for the ravagers. Maybe a jetbike squad of 5 w/ 2 blasters and a succubus w/ a power weapon. Raider squads w/ blaster and splinter cannons. Take a couple haemonculus, as i can never buy back the points for an archon. Put them in a raider squad or make your own squad of grots w/ them. Im not totally a big fan of scourges w/ splinter cannons nowadays as w/ the carapace armour and whatnot if they even take them. But if they dont, go ahead w/ the scourges.
Go for fast attack so you can get in close combat and kill his troops. Go for wyches. it's also nice to have alot of heavy firepower to shoot down his tanks.
Knowing the guy i'm battling i think he'll use carapace, he'll DEFINITLY use the Xenos Eldar (3+ to wound in assault with warriors). Everything so far seems cool DL on raiders and Dissies on ravagers. What about equipping my Wyches with haywire grenades, is it worth it ?
I don't normally give my Wyches Haywire Grenades unless I have extra points to spare. You don't want to assault tanks with them. They are your only real HtH unit besides your Archon/Retinue. For some reason Hellions just don't work for me. Besides if he sets his armor up correctly, or it is a terrain heavy board, you won't be able to get your Wyche Raider in close enough to assualt with them without it getting shot up and leaving them vulnerable to weapons fire. And if you do manage to pop a tank with them, chances are they are again going to be in the open just asking to get shot up.
Haywire Granates are a realy expensive upgrade for an already fragile unite. A granate for your sybarites and succubi of course is very cost efficient. And of course, another sniper squad isn´t that expensive and quite felxible, I never leave commorragh with at least two of them.
CC is definately the way to go. I agree that using haywaires with your wyches is a bit of an expensive waste. You should have plenty of firepower to take out tanks as i have found DE can do this very efficeintly. You just have to cover that distance as quickly as possible to avoid the mass fire of the IG.
PS Good Luck.

Here's something I just thought of recently that may help. Go Wyche Cult if you have the funds. Take a 2 HQ option with Wyche Retinues. For combat drugs on the Retinues in this situation choose Extra Movement, you want that 12 inch assault. Get plenty of raiders with DL's minimized troops with Splinter Cannons and Blasters...same for the Wyches...and atleast one to two Ravangers, one full DL's, One Disinties, both with Shadow Feilds. I am not sure how many points you are using for this game, but here's the tactic.
In you first turn, move those two HQ's 12" on their raiders, disembark with the Archite and Drachite landing over two inches away from the retinue. You have now made 4 units out of two. Remember to disembark them 2" in the direction of the enemy units you have chosen. in the shooting stage all four units FoF. This will buy you up to 6". Then assault 12" into the nearest thing you can. Use DL fire on all the tanks you can, and keep them craft moving 12" so they can't shoot 'em down easy. The Ravangers don't need to move so much, just open fire, kill as much as you can before he can return fire...you can easily get back points for the lose of ships in one round. Position all craft to form terrain within a little less of a foot of eachother. This way any foot slogging troops can move up without taking alott of fire.
Main thing to keep in mind it the HQ's have become 4 units that can move approx. 32" a round to assault. Use it. Get across the table and into HtH. By the time he knows what's going on his tanks will be done for, and his troops will not help. This will work on tables with almost no terrian. You can set up during deployment so that you effectively make your own cover and if worried start with the frontal troops outside of their raiders and behind them. Let him shoot 'em down if he gets first turn, create terrain. If terrains good, the guys toast. Use the terrain, assault at approx 32 inches and kill them tanks. He'll freak, and he'll die. Bring me slaves and I will suck their souls. Above all else have fun, and show all people that DE will never have a new tactic shoved up their sleeve. Make them FEAR!!!
Take heaps of warp beasts if yuou can afford the points.(IF your playing a Wych cult army that is)
