Is the destroyer body worth the points for my necron lord? Because it's another ten $s
You know, I bought the model, and I've yet to use it in a game. I wouldn't bother, personally.
Depends what you use the Lord for.
If he's just there to hold a Res orb then no. If he carries a warscythe and intends on using it then yes, the extra movement and toughness are worth it.
<edit>For example, today I was challenged by a Khorne army of berzerkers, a tooled up Daemon Prince and 5 assault termies (each 105 pts).
Versus 40 warriors, 10 Immortals, 3 destroyers and a tooled up destroyer lord (Warscythe, Res orb, Destroyer body, Phase shifter).
The Destroyer body proved very useful in keeping the Lord alive as he carved chunks out of the Daemon prince and his terminators.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Depends on who your fighting. Against Tau the extra point of toughness alone is worth it.
The Destroyer body is a great upgrade. You can keep up with your Wraiths if you use them and most things will have trouble wounding you since Strength 4 will need 6s to wound.
