    what does nidzilla fear?

    Our regional 'ard boyz tourney was recently won by a nidzilla list. I think the list had a broodlord, 5 carnifexes and the rest were genestealers. Alot of the area players complain about the nidzilla lists. Is there a particular army type out there that does well against nidzilla lists? Every army seems to have its "counter army", I'm just wondering what army the nidzillas fear.

    Tyranids with gaunts to swamp 'em and implant attack genestealers to kill 'em.

    I also heard of some space marine chapter with 'honour your wargear', decked out with lasguns and probably a couple heavy bolters for the stealers.

    WitchHunter lists with 3 exorcists tend to do very well against NidZilla. it's a lot (11 on average) of high Str AP1 shots flying at them. Exorcist tanks are meant for killing termies and Monst. Creatures

    Shooty Inquisitors with Psycannon, Plasma Cannon, 2 HBolters, and 2 Sages for re-rolls on to-hit help weed out any swarm infantry that might be coming.

    Round that out with a Jumpy cannoness with her possible 2+ Inv. save and Blessed Weapon for counter assault.

    You could still have that as a basis for an All-comers list, and it would do fair vs. Nidzilla



    I would think a Tau Battlesuit force would do well also, or Mech Eldar. they can both re-organize and throw a plethora of high Str shots.

    A balanced space marine list is what I worry about. Power fisting sargents of squads with plasmaguns are pretty scarry, especially if they are backed up with one or two land speeders. Then speeders can easily take out stealers, and then plasma guns (often with the help of lascannons) can drop monsterous creatures. If you bring two speeder squads of two (320 points) 2 meltagun attack bikes (100 points, for balance [as you will have to hunt vehicles in some games] and meltas hurt monsterous buggers), and Hq for about 150 points; that leaves you about 1000 points to spend on marines...that is a lot of buys atleast 6 high strength ap2 shots to take down a few nids.

    I dunno, maybe it's the whole faith power with all sixes are AP 1

    and trust me, 20 bolter shots are scary enough, 20 shots that can pen you hurt more!

    A Dark Eldar force with sniper squads, jetbike blaster squads, and a few deepstriking ravagers would definitely cause problems. I'd expect a well tooled out Archon could deal with a goodly chunk of the genestealers.

    Of course, that's a fairly specialized anti-vehicle and anti-MC list that would have a lot of problems with horde armies.

    Most SM balanced list's make it hard for us.

    Dangerous things to Monstrous critters:
    -Hidden Powerfists
    -Sisters Repentia (full unit of these will eat you alive in no time )
    -some Chaos HQ's (think demon weapon, Force Weapon)
    -Almost all Eldar Heavy Weaponry
    -genestealers, and Rending in general
    -Tarpit units (think swarms, like the Necron Scarab Swarm) These will not actually kill you, but makes it almost impossible to escape from for a single Carnifex

    I think these are some of the most common things I try to avoid when using my Carnies and HT.

    Also librarians, with they're force weapons and all.

    wraithguard do the job

    I laugh at my friends nidzilla army. Generally the fexes arent in synspse range (its how he plays), and i send in wriathguard to insta-kill the fexes. Its fun =)
