as a criticaly claimed cheese army who do the necron players view as the most cheese?
"Advance, or it will not be daemonic blood that stains my hammer this day."
Inquisitor Lord Hephaestos Grudd, addressing Colonel Molain of the 223rd Gudrunite Rifles.
Only one answer: Deathwing!
About as anti necron as you can get.
I don't find deathwing cheese as a necronp layer, its just bloody hard to beat.
Agreed, deathwing is bloody hard to beat.

I really hate that word "Cheese". Notice you never hear from people that have beaten you?
Anyway, I agree Deathwing are difficult for my Necrons (can't hold a candle to my Khorne though) and the SM Blood Angels with massive amount of Death company were hard, but I haven't played them since they got thier new WD Codex, so the might be different now.
Threads like this tend to be terrible because they don't really focus on anything concrete.. a mere subjective term of 'cheese'
I personally don't feel necrons are cheesy at all, a simple study of their rules will reveal that if anything necrons are underpowered.
That said.. 'cheesy' armies are often determined by those which are hard to beat.. and in this regard I must say that anything with mass 2+ saves is brutal on necrons.
Out of interest, I tried a big bug heavy list (with extended carapace) out against a necron player the other day, and his army folded like wet paper.
I think it's remarkably unfair to Necrons.

Well from the battles i have given up to now i have to say that Black Templars and Tyranids are the most difficult to beat.....I mean i lose badly (havent played vs deathwing)
Actually some tactics vs Black Templars will be very useful....To stop my "annoying" friend of mocking me....hehehe.....
i cannot beat bugs. they are in my lines too fast and the list i always face has sooo much rending. that and two monstrous creatures at a minimum with boosted armor saves and toughness. sure a 6 on a hit is an auto wound on your boosted carni or tyrant with a 2+ save. i hate facing bugs with my necrons!
don't let me get started on my hatred for the genestealer!
Well, the most common form of "cheese" I've seen people compain about against my necrons(or all necrons) are the destroyers. Ultra mobile fire platforms that can feasably damage anything in the game.
They are "cheese" because they are extremely fast as they are devestating.
Any army that can out-maneuver them will be their nemesis, whether it is due to the fact that there are too many of them to get the flank on, or whether like the deathwing, they can just plop down wherever they need to be to destroy them.
Second, a plethora of 2+ saves will utterly give the necron player nightmares. The only way to really deal with them is to take pariahs and Lords with warscythes, and there are just not enough to really be effective.
