Between all the different melee possibilities (harlequins, Scorpions, banshees...etc), which do you feel compliments a falcon?
I'd vote for Harlequins.
They're made to go against low-numbered, yet tough opponents(TEq's mainly), and the limit of 6 in a Falcon isn't as much a drawback.
Scorpions can infiltrate for a fraction of the price, and they are made to go against hordes, where you'll want as many as you can(no one likes to be outnumbered in CC).
Banshees are the middle of the road, but I think they rely upon too much support from a different unit to really be able to be as opportunistic as the Harlies.

If you HAD to put a melee unit in the falcon I would go with harlies. Banshees are better in a wave serpent and you can foot slog scorpions alright with infiltration.
I've used banshee's in falcons and they aren't good. You need weight of attacks to kill with them. Scorpion's in a falcon is feasible but not as good as harlequins.
On their own the harlequins are the best but I've actually found this to be incredible:
Falcon /w pulse laser, shuriken cannon, shuriken cannon, holo-fields, spirit stones, vectored engines-195
5 Warlocks /w enhance, embolden, 2 destructors, 2 singing spears-171 (destructors on the singing spears, enhance and embolden seperate and then 1 redshirt)
Fuegan-205 (or Yriel)
Worked much better than harlequins in the falcon.

IMO a small squad of fire dragons, hey theyre a great melee unit against vech with their melta bombs. That and they seem to scare people (what did they ever do to them?) and they always get shot so a nice piece of falcon ablative armour is great.
What once was courage has now cursed in the wars we've made.
We are the sinners, before our graves.
I use Fire Dragons in a Falcon and Banshees in Wave Serpent, operating as one unit they generally do pretty well.
firedragons (shooty) and harlequins (melee). Harleqiuns are made to be used in small groups and can fleet and move through cover. This is the ultimate for assaulting from eldar tanks.
I would go with harlequins.
Lordlink's unit would be dandy...but all together it would be about 600 points...about 250 more than just harlequins. Also
those warlocks squads would be pretty easy to take down w/o fortune, and they would probably do less damage than harlequins. The only reason they did better than harlequins was probably because a 205 point special character was there. I would say if you want to include a character with your falcon unit, just put the character with harlequins...
Also for the people hinting at not putting troops in a falcon, falcons are better transports than wave serpents.
When you combine Speed and Power you get Lightning.
They are better transports... But using a falcon primarily as a transport is ludacruis. Its way to expensive to serve as primarily a transport. Its a tank 1st, transport second. I like to use it with a small squad of harlequins to keep back and use to counter attack positions on my front line. But to use it as primarily a transport would mean you aren't getting the full use out of the tank or you are putting it in danger.
If I am reading my Codex right, harlequins can't have a transport...
