Hey I'm looking to cap off my army with a Wave Serpant to cary my Dire Avengers but dont know what to put on it... I have 152 points to spend on it and plan on brining both shuriken cannons options and spirit stones but what else should I give it?
for that amount of points i suggest bright lance and spirit stones, it doesnt need much else, if you are carry cc specialists give it v. engines but otherwise spirit stones will be fine.

thank you for the quick response
You might want to make sure a serpent will fit well in your force. A lone serpent can get into trouble really easily if the enemy isn't making hard target priority decisions between other similarly tough or tougher units.
tank kit 101: and this isnt always universal, but any eldar TANK should take spirit stones and where possible a holofield, if the tank is to transport assault specialist (banshee, scorpions, harleys) then it needs vectored engines
w3eaponry varries, but given the serpent main guns are twin linkes, they do compensate for the comparatively low BS of Eldar when firing single shot weapons like bright lances and EML
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Cher's got it pretty much, but in addition with all units of the Eldar it really depends on what you need to do. If your army is in lax of anti-tank then I would recommend the Twin-linked brightlance, but if you want to help your direavengers more then Twin-linked shuriken cannons/ Scatter Lasers and an shuriken cannon undermount would be a decent idea. I've experience with this set-up and Dire Avenegrs jumping out and Bladestorming does not garentee total kills which is what is needed ideally (especially against space marines), the final shots from the wave serpent can prove life saving. With many strenth 6 shots in gear it makes knocking down large creatures and light tanks easier than the harder hitting single shot weapons. Again it all depends on what your want/need to to do as part of your army.
Why not vectored engines on a WS with a shooty squad? CC squads have the benefit of defending themselves if they get attacked while entangled but entangled shooty squads can't shoot for a turn.
It's because with a shooty squad you can move the serpent up behind cover, jump out and deploy the guys. By the time the serpent is taking fire you've already deployed your dudes more often than not.
With CC troops you usually have to move the thing right out in the open with your guys buttoned up inside and hope to handle the worst the enemy can dish out.
I'd suggest brightlances since many eldar forces these days are awfully light on ranged anti tank, but it really depends, maybe you've already got plenty to take AV13-14 down and pulse+shuri for anti infantry/anti light vehicle is best.
