as I seem to be playing loads of marine lists and my mate has just got a necron army, I'm thinking of including sniper drones in my tau force.
While this would work I don't really wanna have to pay out 60 quid on 3 boxes of sniper drones taht i think look pretty meh.
therefore I'm thinking of converting a sprue of spare firewarriors and a couple of gun drones into 3 units of 3 Firewarriors armed with rail rifles and a spotter drone.
Gonna use the standard sniper drone rules for them.
whats do you guys think? would that be a cool idea?
As long as you made sure that the Firewarriors were using the Sniper Drone stats and not their own, I think it would be just fine. Although, if you're converting up rail rifles for the FW's, why not just stick them on some gun drones and make some home made sniper drones?
i guess i don't really like the whole sniper drone concept.
i'd rather use a drone markerlight spotter with firewarriors with rail rifles....i'll see how it looks.
Again, as long as you're able to remember that your firewarriors are actually drones, I think it would be a fine idea. I think a small team of firewarriors with big guns hiding in some trees and sniping marines is a pretty sweet image.
