Quick question here, as there has been a mixup and I need some clarification.
Does the Falcon box contain parts for a Falcon OR Wave Serpent, or just a Falcon? I wanted a Wave Serpent and won one, but the seller says he accidentally mixed up the Serpent and a Falcon. I don't particularly want a Falcon but if it can make a Serpent then everything's fine on my end.
Do I need to get mad at the seller and have it sent back (once I actually receive it) or will I have the Serpent I wanted?
no the flacon box does not have the parts to make a wave serpent. the only way of getting them are in the wave serpent box set or buy the sprues separatly on ebay or something and put them on your falcon
WIP tau project coming soon.
Well shoot. Guess I have some yelling to do >=(
Okay, I'm new to Eldar, and in somewhat the same predicament. On the GW site, all the tank vehicles, Wave Serpent, Falcon Grav Tank, and Fire Prism, look more or less the same to me.
What part makes the vehicles so different? Just that little cockpit at the top? It seems I could just buy the Fire Prism, and remove the extra cockpit when I just feel like using it as a Wave Serpent.
I really can see why the seller mixed them up...

no. falcon has original kit
Prism has falcon plus added bits
Serpent has falcon chassis but different turret, swathe of weapons, spine banks for energy shield
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Wow, that Wave Serpent comes with a lot...
And here I was thinking it'd be clever to buy the Apocalypse Cloudstrike Squadron, converting all the Falcons to Wave Serpents.
Slightly off-topic question (sorry OP):
What do the old Wave Serpents look like? They weren't pictured in the old Eldar codex. (sometimes the OOP models look better to me).
We used to have to convert falcons into serpents. So they all looked a little different (unless you bought the expensive forge world jobs).
For a while the serpent came with all the bits for a falcon. But I don't think it does anymore.
Fire prisim just has the bits for the prism cannon but is, as said earlier, otherwise just the falcon sprue.
For the OP, if serpents don't come with the stuff to make a falcon you might want to just stick with the falcon. It is, as far as I can tell, universally agreed upon as an awsome unit. And believe me, getting us all to agree in this forum is quite the feat!
