Welcome to Librarium Online!
Was curious what people thought about Incubi Vs Wyches... I originally was a big Incubi player although recently I have dropped the Incubi in preference on Wych Squads. Although I must admit that when I play my friends pure Grey Knight army I run the Incubi... Just curious what everyone else runs...
I think that Incubi are too specialized to compete with Wyches when you don’t know what you are going to face.
I like the models and the idea of them, and I do own 13 of them but I just can’t see them as “great” value against the unknown.
So its Wyches for me all the way!
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
Incubi are pretty much the reason I chose DE in the first place, but if I have to make a choice between one or the other, it's wyches. Ugly as sin, and the fluff is kind of garbage, but they get the job done and then some. If incubi had fleet, that would be a different story.
But they don't.

Incubi look cooler, their back ground is certainly better, but in game it's wyches all the way. Got myself a wyche cult army I love um so much. Loads of wyches led by Lelith and Ravagers for fire power.
Wych's have more reliable saves within combat- and can get to said combat more reliably also.
The absence of power weapons hurts, but they can pretty much guarantee the slow annihilation of an enemy unit that isn't too punchy.
Incubi are just plain awesome looking, quite fluffy and excellent in combat- but are much less flexible in terms of combat role, points cost and selection (through the need to be in a retinue- disallowing your lord to separate)
minimalism is the key.
I prefer wyches mainly because they are more efficient and when I mess up and they die I haven't lost nearly as many points =p
The only real problem I've had with them (that Incubi cover are better for generally) is they take too long in combat if I am only running a squad of 10 (so they fit in a raider). Granted, it ties up the enemy squad and keeps them safe from fire but it also means they aren't moving on to the next target =\
Hmm... Wyches with option of furious charge....
Neither for me. Incubi don't really seem to fit the DE, in my opinion, heavily armoured troops I would prefer to spend the points elsewhere. Wyches, I'm using some for conversion on reaper bikes but with only one cc unit in my army have decided on a Hermi with Grots and a raider, I like the models more and the horror factor works acts well.
Bollocks to whats effective go with whats cool every time, so most definitly Incubi all the way. My usual opponent is a Guard player so wyches would do alot more for their points but anyone with a hockey mask and a big spikey stick gets my vote.
I play a very CC orientated army mainly angainst MEQ's so the obvious option is the incubi with lots of power weapons that crush anyone in my way however a squad of wyches is still useful and will completely tie up any specialised CC unit for several turns and with the agoniser on the succubus can have a very nasty sting. So for me its both every time apart from in really small games where it is almost pure warriors and very shooty.
So I'm not going to vote they are both excellent CC units and wyches would be the best in the game if they had power weapons or rending(wishing, wishing, wishing) then DE would be almost unstoppable.
