Welcome to Librarium Online!
Bored at school and thinking about Apocalypse. Does anyone else think that it might be a good idea t have a stronger version of the Nightbringer or Deceiver for Apocalypse games?
Maybe something like the Nightbringer after he's eaten a bit, not full strength, but certainly better then as he is now directly out of the tomb. Triple his current point cost, close to a warhound or tyranid bio titan.
I'm thinking of this mostly since I'm sick of seeing my C'tan being killed by snipers. It's a living god on the battlefield so he should be tougher to kill. Apocalypse gaes are probably the palce for a stronger version.
Thoughts? Ideas? still bored at school here.
Thats a pretty good idea actually, but ont get your hopes up, its not likely to happen.
A C'tan at full strength would have some insane stats like S100, T100, A100 ... etc, and would only be rivaled in game by a ''flufff correct'' model for the Hivemind, or something equally as awesome.
That would be pretty cool, good idea for a Necron "Titan". It'd be fun to model for the table, as well.
How about a C'Tan when not bound in a living metal body?
I reckon a sentient (and hungry) ball of plasma could more than compensate for the titans springing up all over the place.
And over there we have the labyrinth guards.
One always lies, one always tells the truth, and one stabs people who ask tricky questions.
Sounds like a cool idea. What about a bigger Nightbringer that uses Gargantuan Creature rules? You could probably use the same stats, just create a bigger model with some Mass Points at an appropriate point value.

I would love to see a giant titan Nightbringer.
It might put the fear of the C'tan in others, show why you don't want to mess with necrons.
I just wonder how much movement/many attacks it would need to make up for it's point cost.
If the C'Tan aren't housed in their Necrodermis shells, aren't they little more than sentient energy waves? Kinda hard to model. "OK, the light coming off this fluorescent bulb is my Star God. Now, anything that's being lit up...make an Invuln save..."
A Titan class C'Tan would be easy, there are still two of them out there, after all. Here comes the Outsider, well-rested and well-fed. The Dragon, he probably wouldn't travel that far if he decided to get up.
WHFB: Dwarfs || WH40k: Imperial Fists, Necrons || WM/H: Trollbloods || BFG: Necrons
Sound's good, but I'd like to see the look on someone's face when they're told the light is your model.
Fluffwise though, wouldn't it be hard for the Outsider to get well-fed without anyone noticing? Unless he was ridiculously far away. A Necron titan unit wouldn't be too hard to come up with though- I'm imagining something like a moving pylon, but with less of an artillery look.
I wouldn't see a problem with the nightbringer gaining enough strength back by now that they could make a titan sized shell for him to kill things in.
