Welcome to Librarium Online!
Probably a newbie question, but that's what boards are for, right?
Anyway, I'm wondering how other units affect your line of sight. I'm 99% sure that you can't fire "trough" your opponents front unit at the ones behind except with guess range weapons, but how about firing through your own units?
If I have 2 rows off firewarriors for whatever reason can I fire above my own unit at the enemies troops?
I suppose there's an answer somwhere in the rulebook, but I can't seem to find it.
Also does skimmers work any different in this aspect, your own and your opponents?
i think the major thing is if the model you try to shoot through is twice as tall as your models, then its line of sight is blocked, i think they say otherwise they would just move out of the way for you

vehicles always block line of sight, friendly units don't, enemy ones sometimes do
less hate more kittens
think of it this way, if you have two lines of Tau, the first line crouches or goes prone, while the second one stands or crouches... its only a matter of them aiming over their buddy's shoulder
While vehicles can't duck, and enemies (stupidly or not) don't.
I can just see it now:Hey you! Yes, the Wraithguard! Will you lie down please? I'm trying to hit the Farseer!
Enemy models can only block line of sight to models that are less than twice as tall as they are. A Farseer can't block LOS to a wraithlord, but guardians could block line of sight to a Farseer. Comprendre?
