Screaemer-Killer (ST x 2, AG WS, BioPlasma)
Ninja Fex (ST x 2, Toxic Miasma, AG WS, Flesh Hooks)
Raging Bull (ST x 2, Tusked, Flesh Hooks)
I know that there are many opinions on CC fexes, especially in regards for being a waste because they do not always (or from reading some of the posts seldom) make it into CC. I will preface this post with mentioning that so it does not need to be readdressed.
My question is which Elite CC fex have you seen/used that works out well. From what I have read, the most frequent choices I have seen on posts are Screamer-Killers, Ninja Fex, and then a smaller amount of other ones...
I would personally love to see a fex with scything talons x 2, tusks, and flesh hooks. (I believe this one stills comes in under 115 making it an Elite.) It would be great on the charge, but then it is pretty normal after that. Six attacks on the charge striking at the same time while rushing units in cover would be great, but it would also be pretty situational. Hmmm...
Look forward to reading what you have to say...
Adrenal WS and Toxic Miasma means you hit marine equivalents on a 3+, and they hit you on a 4+. Pretty good combo, I guess.
I would not ever use a CC Elite fex. A dakkafex gets 2 less attacks in close combat, but can fire 8 times per turn on the way in, making it far far far far far superior EVEN in a cc oriented army.
I know you weren't asking for that input, but a cc fex in general will be a waste of points no matter how cool it looks on the field, and performs somewhat poorly in combat even with upgrades like ag/ws and tm.
Consider whether you will ever let a walking marine tac squad w/ a hidden powerfist get into combat with a sniperfex. If you answer "yes," tell me why on Earth; if you answer "no," you have your reason why cc fexes are terrible.

I use elite CC Carnifexes in my friendly, less-competative games. I can't stand fielding a CC Carnifex without AG(I), however, because striking before power fists is absolutely essential in my opinion.
Coupled with Bio-Plasma, AG(I) becomes a good investment as it lets the Carnifex strike at a much higher initiative then normal (even without Monsterous Creature benefits, S10 is nothing to scoff at).
When I do use one I use the Ninja Fex. He isn't that good, and never makes his points back by killing things (unless someone lets him get near their dreadnought...), but he has some psychological value, and does well getting to, and holding objectives at the end of the game. I have had him not fight or get shot at by anything all game, but he still managed to take an objective and get me some victory points that way.
Oh and the number one reason I use him...he looks wicked on the table top. My brother-in-law painted him; he is an artist so it really sticks out--I think that adds to the psychological edge that he gives me the first two times I use him against someone who doesn't know any better.
When I field cc fexes I field everything as cc. slogging cc tyrants, hs carnis with all the good stuff, elite carnis looking like this: scything+scything +1I and mace tail. all of it backed by hormies ofcourse the list looses almost every time but its alot of fun
I voted other; Dakka Fex. same chance to hit in CC only two less attacks (more than outweighed by the 3 rounds of 8 shot re-roll hit and wound) Probably not what you want to hear but, the only time I did field one, it was a Ninja Fex and I got tired of playing "Chase me-Chase me". He is now replaced with Zoan's or Warriors depending on how I feel.
Nothing to see here, please move along.
I voted for screamer killer but I did not see the other . If I field only one elite it will be a dakka fex. If I field more than one then second was sceamer-killer . The reason I used the screamer killer was few times I got luck and it was near a skimmer and the bio will be worth it because you need 4 not a 6 to hit. The look on his face was priceless when I took it down. It was devilfish doing his drop and rapid fire with the fishes and blow your cc fex away. It did not happen. Also dire avenger try it with bladstrom and somehow I survive that too. I as lucky he did not put doom on it and took out his waveserpent next turn.
On how to used your cc fex do the following:
1) If mission is take hold well move to it and hold it
2) If mission is loot counters either sit on one or move to one
3) If the mission take quaters then take one
4) If mission is move across the table then move straight cross
5)If the mission is kill then I pick one side and move across the table . he will either avoid it and leave that side alone or he will committed to it and kill it.
6)Last thing I like to do it put my cheap synapse warriors behind to keep them alive and keep syanpse up for army( 3 cheap warriors are 81pts) and walk with the rest of the army.
It is not always about getting your points back but to have a mission in mind for it.

Everything you said above, but with a dakkafex. It does all the same things, kills skimmers better (well, armor 12 and less), and can kill things that don't come near it too.

You are right Mvbrandt dakkafex will do all these things too and better than my cc fex(hehe). I think the main reason I run a cc fex is to catch my opponent off guard. I do used dakka and screamkiller toegther in my 1850 listed just to be different.(lol)
