well, does it? I read the FAQ, it doesn't tell me heads or tails.
Help the kin TAKE your soul, I mean, take your soul...
I play Vassal. I'm in V40K Open Ladder.
Good question and truthfully nothing covers it.
it isn't a model or vehicle, it isn't a piece of terrian either.
think of it as a rip in reality that swirls about, it does not block LoS.
This was covered before, i know it doesn't but can't remember why.
If you're always worried about crushing the ants beneath you...you won't be able to walk.
Think of it this way: Nothing exists that suggests that it should be and thus it reverts to the default state. Ie, It doesn't block line of sight (since clear terrain is the default state and that doesn't block LoS).
And I agree entirely,
1. Its not a model – so model height doesn’t come into it.
2. Its not terrain (not really even clear terrain as how would you play a portal placed in difficult terrain? Would it change the terrain type for that area?),
3. And the portal cant be engaged and locked in close combat.
These are the only things that will block line of sight in 40K so there are no rules for it to deny LOS.
Its just a lump of wargear that admittedly is badly defined.
In a controversy the instant we feel anger we have already ceased striving for the truth, and have begun striving for ourselves.
maybe it like opens and closes only when guys are coming out and when its closed its not really there just a little generator thing lying on the ground.
