Welcome to Librarium Online!
Wanted to check in with the Necron players and see if you guys have any advice for transporting destroyers? I'm in the process of converting a necron/ork army which is Destroyer heavy and am in a debate if its better to go with the Army transport or if the regular GW case works nicely?
Also are Destroyers lists seen as competitive at the tournament level? I'm not really looking for a competitve army as its a list made for fun/ conversions. Also any ideas how to represent a converision of orks/necron warriors. Right now i'm planning on using stock ork models, combining the shoota and guess flayer, and adding in some bionic bis like legs/ arms.
40K-Beakies(9-14-4),Guard(4-7-2),Orks(34-12-11). FANTASY-Dwarves(15-6-7),Beasts (14-14-1), Skaven (17-17-10) DoC (6-1-2). CYGNAR (28-15-1)
my step son uses Kaiser Rushforth whose trays have slightly bigger holes than the GW ones, he cuts two of the holes into one and that does nicely
Everything you have been told is a lie!
Destroyers are arguably one of the best, if not the best, Necron units available.

2 slots of a GW case are fine for holding them, though there are probably cheaper and better cases out there.
As for being comprtitive, spamming on them makes for a rather nasty list. But just for fun, taking one or two units is fine too.
