Hi, there i am trying to start a necron army and i have no clue what to get can any one help me out of what to get please and thanks.
Your best bet is to begin with the Necron Battleforce and a Lord on foot. Nice and simple, yet strong, starting force.
Ofcourse youll be needing the 'Cron Codex and main rulebook aswell.
When it comes to making the Scarabs, se 3 per base. That should give you 6 bases from the battleforce instead of 5.
First off you need to figure out what kind of necron army you want to play. Necrons can be fielded several different ways, look through the codex and see what you like.
For instance alot of Necron players like using lots of destroyers and immortals, to form a shooty army. Some take Pariahs and flayed ones for a fear army. Or Wraiths/scarabs for a CC army.
A good place to start for collecting is to get the army box, starts you off with plenty of warriors, and some destroyers/scarabs. After that get a lord (destroyer or foot depending on preference, foot is considered a more standard "beginner" choice) and play a couple small games.
Normally, I like the idea of deciding on the force you want to play, but Necrons have to take at least a Lord and 20 Warriors, and Destroyers are nearly a must. The Destroyers alone could cost you $60+ separately, so the Battleforce is the way to go. It's really a good deal. You can usually find it discounted at one of the mail-order sites you can locate online, too. That and a Lord will let you play 750 point games right away.
