Hello, I have a eldar friend who every single time I play I loose miseribly. Although his lists are always EXTREMELY stacked to beat necrons and nothing else.
a general synaspyse of his lists are ussualy like this
1-2 farseers with warlocks
7-10 wraith gaurds
2-3 fire prisms
1 wraith lord
6-12 warp spiders
anyone have some advice? I dont brag or anything (learned not to do it from a very young age) but i really need to beat him once so he wont bloat and rub it in my face so much since I naturally have low self-esteem and get discouraged alot. thanks
Oh I may have some hope, next weekend I will be fighting him with my Nidzilla tyranid list which he has never fought and I have the feeling for eldar hes going to take alot of dire avengers, rangers, and fire prisms. Which is a very easy list for my TMCs to knockout. :rofl
Have you tried using a monolith. Eldar can have some problems dealthing with them as long as you keep them away from those wraithguard. I have also found that Destroyers can really give eldar a headache...
Just some things you might like to try.
or as said before, get some liths, maybe alot of destroyers (no heavies!) and screw around with him.
Create flames for a galaxy and it will be warm. Put a galaxy in flames and it will be warm for the rest of it's existence.
I'm sorry that my knowledge is limited about Necrons, but this should help. One more thing, almost all of your friend's pieces use blast markers of some sort, so have your forces stretched out the maximum of 2 inches a squad. I really hope this helps, good luck!;Y
well gauss I've used a Lith list with lot of succes against eldar aswell as destroyers (watc out for those sniper's though when they are in cover CC then 2+ cover save means it takes a long time to take them out shooting. swarms work great against them they can hold them and even beat them in cc. Beside's that spread your guys like their is no tommorow.
Btw how many point games do you play??
anywhere from 1000-2500
My recent successful strategies against eldar have mostly been two things.
Take a lot of warriors. I mean, put about half your points into warriors.
Take a few destroyers to take out pesky tanks at range.
If they like their farseers and warlocks D.Lords with a warscythe and wraiths really mess them up. (avatars will mess anything close combat up).
Goodluck on a whole though.
