Welcome to Librarium Online!
I'm been tempted by the use of Kommandos after I witnesssed a game where the main reason one side won was because a Necron force was quite small and half of that army got held up and massacred by infiltrating genestealers. Now its not the models themselves, its the infiltration rule.
Komanndos can infiltrate, but for 10 points before upgrades (burnas are tempting) are they worth their weight in points? I can see that been able to hold up a unit for a while with Orks that aren't exactly weak in combat is a good prospect.
What have others done with them and how many would you take and how would you best kit them out?
15 Komandos w/2 Burnas and Boss Snikrot is a standard unit in the lists I play these days. They are versatile and effective in their application and deployment.
Two's to kill. Ahh, sweet sweet music.
Infiltrating Kommandos are especially great if you're running a footslogging army; you'll need them to tie up guns or draw fire. Its usually recommended to take a PK Nob and 2 burnas.
Another nifty use of the Kommandos is to take Boss Snikrot and two burnas, so they may be held in reserve and come in from your enemies' table edge. Pretty dirty.
I don't actually use these myself, so let's see what some of our other Orky compatriots have to say...
"It takes a vast amount of self control to be this dangerous."

snikrot and 2 burnas i must say are the way to go. If they infiltrate theyre just going to get chewed up. But being able to come in from any table edge (which is godlike after the hard boyz tourney and using it in apocalypse) really helps hit a flank to stop cc guys or deal with pesky devastator/shooty squads.
not to mention GW doesn't have a model for snikrot meaning you get to come up with a cool conversion.
