It sure would make the Necrons more interesting. I know it's not going to happen, but if it did people could make hth armies of Necrons.
Imagine 4 squads of Flayed Ones marching forward screening a bunch of destroyers/immortals/pariah. I think it would be a fairly scary sight. It would be a lot like a Space Marine hth army that can stand back up and causes fear. With Pariah and Lords with a Nightmare Shroud and Gaze of Flame that army could make any troops suck in hth and run off the board. It would be a whole army based off of fear...
Yes that would be amusing but warriors are only troops for the image too. they wanted to have endless rows of mechanical beings all alike. Hence the 10-20 squad size but i still think it would be better to have flayed ones as troops too. they could make some rule 'bout madatory 2 necron warriors squad....
Necron will stand for eternity.Their race has survived aeons by trading their very souls for metal bodies. Now, they will live on through eternity and will vanquish all life from our universe. For they are Necron. Flesh is weak. The machine will rise!
that would be really nice. or at least you should be able to upgrade one of the warriors in a squad to a Flayed one.
but making flayed ones troops would be a nice change. but then they'd have to add some more elites
"I have seen you humans, trying to forge an Empire in the name of a corpse"
I think that maybe it could work like the Fire warrior/Kroots solution in Codex: Tau
Or even better in the skaven armybook, for each unit of Clanrats (in this case necron warriors) you can have one unit of other troops. This would make it more balanced, i doubt that a necron army would consist of only flayed ones.
