I was wondering what the consensus is on the number of Runtherds required in the Gretchin mob?
The rules say that for every ten grots you must include 1 Runtherd. So, if I am running 19 gretchin in a mob, I only need 1 runtherd? 29 grots 2 runtherds? That is how it is worded, and I am inclined to say that is how it works.

The further question to this is from the shokk attack battery. It says that 1 runtherd is needed for every 5 snotling bases (or part of 5) but doesn't list a cost for the runtherds! Do we assume the grot runtherd cost?
I agree with everyone, as written its 1 herder for every full 10, they likely mean 1 for every part of ten but whop knows?

Currently it would be 1 Runtherd for every full 10. All we need to do is compare the wording in the Gretchin section to that of the Ork Boyz Heavy Weapons.

For every ten Orks in the mob, one Ork in the mob may exchange his slugga or shoota for...
So for anyone who argues that for every part of 10 Gretchin you have you need a Runtheard (i.e. 11 Gretchin = 2 Runtherds) then they are also saying for every part of 10 boyz you can take a heavy weapon (i.e. 11 Boyz = 2 Rokkits/Big Shootas).
