Hi this weekend I will be facing ork, witch hunters, orks
I was considering a maximum destroyer list with a destroyer lord and 3 wraiths backing him for some cc
Not sure what i want to do, its sort of a club tournament
one list to face all armies different missions
guys please give me some ideas or suggestion on a list
Well if you want to swing for a speed list here's my suggestion.
Destoyer Lord w/ orb (optional warscythe)
This will throw you just under 1k points enough speed and firepower to back up your durability.
You seem to be facing some rather varied armies that you need to use different tactics against.
-Tau; get close, fast, stay behind cover as much as you can.
-Orks; stay far, keep moving or get in cover, never stop shooting.
-SoB; I'd say just balanced play here, shoot the CC units, assault the shooty units...throw your warriors at the rest.
Some general battle ideas.
Don't bunch your destroyers and wraiths all up in one spot, stay fluid, I tried throwing a giant spearhead of wraiths and destroyers at a Tau army once and they just got gunned down by mass fire.
with two destroyer squads you stay more flexible, keep them within 6 inches and utilize their speed, but keep them in firing lanes. Hit priority targets. (APCs, Tanks, Heavy assault troops)
Wraiths, keep them out of firing lanes, move behind cover, attack soft squishy targets. (heavy weapons for Orks/SoB. everything but vehicles for Tau)
Warriors, I tend to keep these back out of the way but they actually work better when you march them out and get them into position to gun down enemies. I find my warriors to be my best anti tank unit at times.
great advice I had a list designed similar to that
keep um coming guys
At just 1K, its best to keep the Lord cheap. Destroyer Lord running with 3 Wraiths, no Orb needed. Assuming he will be going against the best, may aswell give him a Warscythe, he is pretty poor in combat as it is, with just WS4, so any hits that get through, you want them to be wounding.
2 units of 10 Warriors are mandatory unfortunately...
3 Wraiths to accompany the Lord, and then 3 Destroyers as you want them.
Its then up to you really, either more of the above, or i would definitely recommend Scarabs, and some Flayed Ones for Infiltration.
