My friend says that he just read in his rulebook that all tyranid units can deepstrike as long as all of them deepstrike.
Now I have read my codex pretty thoroughly but I have not seen this anywhere. Perhaps I have missed it but it just seems to good to be true.
But then another one of my friends said that even though it is in this rule book because it is not in my codex ( they also have thoroughly checked my codex) that it doesn't matter and it should be disregarded.
A little help here?
Eh, I was reading over the Chapter Approved 2004.
I can't go into details, but not everything can deepstrike. The Tyranids are limited in number of broods like Lictors in the Codex are limited to 0-1 you know? Some of the other units are like that in "seeding swarms" which I assume is what you are talking about. Also, there are different.."mutations" I guess you could call them that change the type of unit they are categorized as. IE A Horm unit mutated with a certain thing could become fast attack instead of a normal troop unit.
But to get the specifics, you'll have to get the Chap. App. 2004 manual.
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
--- This here's the problem: Your friend read the rules for "Mycetic Assault", on page 194 of the main rulebook.Originally posted by Bustin-out-da-carnifex@Apr 20 2004, 17:10
My friend says that he just read in his rulebook
Those rules went out the window the moment the Tyranid Codex was published... The closest thing to the "Mycetic Assault" rules are the Seeding Swarm rules, which have been published in a WD and CA2003 and 2004.
