Welcome to Librarium Online!
Let me get this straight:
The 3 warriors you get in the Battle Force cannot all be made into close combat, since you do not have enough blade arms... I think you have enough scything talons, but only one pair of rending claws... or vice versa...
is this true ?
Is it different if I buy a warrior box alone ?
From what I read on this webpage, it's not the case.... you still only get one set !
[TMP] "Tyranid Warrior Box Review" TopicWhat if I want all of my warriors to be close combat ?The Warrior sprue has 2 legs, a lower body/tail piece, 2 scythe arms, a set of deathspitter arms, 2 choices of upper head armor, 2 choices of face, 2 sets of 3 flesh hooks, a set of front/back torso halves, and a large Ripper. The 2 face choices let you choose whether you want the normal open jaws with tongue or open jaws with a barbed flesh hook tongue. The 2 head armor choices are basically different styles of ridged crests, with one being more elaborate and pointier than the other. You get 3 of those sprues per box.
The biomorph sprue includes another Ripper, 3 sets of Devourer arms, 3 sets of spinefist arms, 3 sets of 2 toxin sacs each, 3 adrenal sacs, and 3 small chitinous armor plates. You get one of these sprues per box.
The monstrous creature sprue has a set of Barbed Strangler arms, a set of Venom Cannon arms, a set of huge scythe arms, a set of huge grabby Genestealer-style clawed hands, a horned Ripper, and 2 larger chitinous armor plates. You get one of these sprues per box. The scythe arms and grabby claw arms are aesthetically far too large to put on the Warriors in my opinion, but the 2 heavy weapon options are useful if you like meatguns. The Ripper is always useful, because these things are too cute to resist.

nope its not different - the battleforce contains everything that comes in the indevidual boxed sets - and yes you only get one set of rending claws!
Also you cannot buy a ravener with rending claws either - the one shown on thier website is an error that they have not corrected!
Workrounds: warriors: nothing much here except to get more warrior boxed sets (or as I prefer, to collect more battleforces and build up a zilla, swarm and warrior armie all in one go - expensive, but you save £25 each time you get the battleforce - free fex - so in the long run its well worth it)
Ravner: use the 3 fingered arms from the genestealers for these they work well (for the steales give them scything talons, not nessessarily the best upgrade to get, but not a total waste )
After that its using greenstuff if you wish - I also find the stealer claws look wrong on warriors - just a little bit too small!

well, the style of the 'stealer claws is the same, though...
interesting idea... even though you feel its too small, I'll try them on and see how it looks.
I'll put the smaller arms on bottom and the larger ones on top... that should help to make them look better.
With the current edition, I'd use the stealer claws too. Everyone uses them for ravaners already.
