I'm well underway on my first homemade Ork vehicle, originally designed as a battlewagon. It ended up quite a bit larger than I first realized so I'm contemplating strapping a big cannon on it and using it as a skullhamma.
Any thoughts on this? Too big for a bw? Not big enough for a skullhamma? Other comments/ideas? Let me know

hmmm, well just from the visuals I'd say it looks too big too be a battlewagon. Generally I see the battlewagon as being roughly the same size as a land raider so use that as a base for a size comparison.
Personally it would fit the idea of a skullhammer better, but ultimately its up to you.

Thanks, any other opinions? Other feedback is also welcomed (what you liked, didn't like, room to improve). Thanks everyone!
the first rule: there is no such thing as overkill
so yeah, i'm liking it, it's big and orky, and there is no restrictions on a battlewagon, and to quote "to an ork, there is no differnece bettween a battlewagon and a battlefortress, they just think of it as a more impressive shootyier battlewagon"
if you feel it's too big don't use it, if you like the model, use it however you want (within limit)
another good idea if you could be bothered, is make a 2nd one and deploy it next to it, 2 huge vehicles, are very imposing and look cool as centerpieces to the army
It's up to you. Obviously, it fits the size of a Skullhammer better than a battlewagon, but I've seen many oversized battlewagons. Since there's no definite size for a battlewagon, it can legally be as small as a Leman Russ or as large as a super heavy tank. Some players may call foul and grit their teeth, but as long as the weapons are accurate, it's legal. I've never heard anyone say something was 'too big' though. The issue has always been 'too small'.
Play it as whatever you want to. If someone has a problem with it, then politely request that they provide the exact size requirements of an ork Battlewagon...or you can save them the time by letting them know that there aren't any.
The only thing I can see them getting annoyed over is how much cover it provides, but the difficulty in moving it without hitting terrain will offset that. A cheesy trick I once heard someone pull was they made a wagon that was ridiculously wide, but not long, and they'd sit it in front of his army, blocking enemy line of sight to virtually all his troops. ^_^

I'm liking the skullhammer idea, anyone know the weapons loadout/options on that baby off the top of their heads? I know it has a big ol cannon of some sort...
