Welcome to Librarium Online!
Well I was deciding on whther to post this on my armies page or here, and said what the heck, who knows tau better than the ppl who play them. I'm playing a tau player in the near future and well I know NOTHING about the greater good, but he knows a good bit about the inquisition. While I know everyone has different playstyles or army lists I was wondering if anyone could shed some insight on what to expect. Does tau excel at anything specific? What should i expect as far as saves go, AP he would have, fast movement/deployment/deep striking etc etc etc.
The tau will avoid getting shot by you. Tau absolutely hate anything that moves quickly. Don't sacrifice your quick units for anything.
He might play lots of static fire warriors, if he does then kill them, that's a lot of points and will help you claim victory.
He might throw the fire warriors in devilfish instead. If so, destroy the devilfish. They are pretty easy to take down.
He might take 3 hammerheads. If so then don't play him again, he will slaughter you and there was no point in playing.
It seems like you don't know a lot about the Tau stat lines. What you can do about this is visit the GW site and they have all reference sheets available free. This will show you a lot.
Others will be able to help you more as far as the strategy. You should have an advantage in close combat, just have to get there...
guess everyone knows that though.
Yeah that's what the consensus seems to be, close combat that is. thanks for the info
