I would say yes.

The Markerlight is nothing but a weapon that does no damage. The multi-tracker should opperate for the Markerlight just as well as is would for a PR.

He's totally right, although he must shoot them both at the same unit.

yeah i think so too, because the MT lets you shoot 2 wpns at the same unit so if you shoot the markerlight and the burst cannon at the same unit w/o moving i would think yes.

i was under the impression that if you were to shoot a markerlight, it takes up all the models shooting for tha6t turn, but i dont have the codex on me, so dont quote me

Yes you would be able to fire the light and the burst cannon, provided you are stationary to satisfy the "heavy" status of the light. You could then jump away in the assault phase.
A good tactic for marking a unit for a hammerhead munitions round.

for the hammerhead railgun, if you use the markerlight and then use the ordinance blast you still get the 2+ hit right?

I would assume so, the marker light lets one tau model that has not fired yet shoot at the target and the firing model hits on a 2+. I have not seen anything that says you cant with the ordinance marker.

Yes because only the wounds are rolled individualy...

I was sure that if you shot the Markerlight than you COULD NOT use the jet pack in the assault phase....

Edit: Just checked and you can not shoot the MK and move in the assault.

the faq in the CA2004 says you can, and so does the GW web site
If you charge a bunker and die, its called being reckless, but if you charge the bunker and win, it's heroic!
