So which armies would MY army be good against?
HQ: Destroyer Lord, w/ Staff Of Light, VoD, Res Orb = 205
Troopers: 38 warriors = 760
Fast Attack: 3 Destroyers = 150
Fast Attack: 5 Scarabs = 147
Heavy Support: 1 Monolith
A good thing about this army is that I would only need to buy a Monolith and I would have my full army!!!
PS. I guess I might need some H.D or some Wraiths, but it took 38mins to come up with this, so if you have a betta army post it.
Better is all a mater of opinion, and which armies it will be good against really depends on how you play.
Personally i wouldn't use 38 Warriors, id have the minimum possibly and the points elsewhere (Immortals especially as you have the VoD)
Also, check your points costs. 5 Scarabs do not cost 147pts, that Lord is 200pts, not 205, and you have really overpriced the Warriors too.
1. The 'Lith is just a big points sink, IMO.
2. What do you want that Destroyer Body on your Lord for?
3. Necrons have particular advantages against vehicle-dependent armies, as well as low-number-high-points-cost ones (which more or less includes Tyranid Godzilla armies).
okay first off never combine VoD and Destroyer body. you can't have more than 100pts of gear on your lord anyway. Your lord would cost 230 pts which isn't legal. For your army i'd stick with destroyer
Your math is off double check all the points costs.
How many points are you going for 1500 or 1000?
Necrons are generally effective at just about anything. They are weak to CC and swarm. Strong against other shooting armies even with vehicles.
Let us know what you want to be able to do. we can help build an army up form there eh? The way you build and play your army is going to be different from the way pretty much anyone else does, since you have a unique grasp of tactics, don't ask us what your army is good at, ask us how to make your army good at what you want it to be.
(army lists should go in the army list section, just a reminder)
