Welcome to Librarium Online!
One has found that the Orks' was the only Codex to give a real laugh.
Rather ironic that in "the grim darkness of the future"-the only humour is found in "the most warlike aliens".
Its certainly a good quality good codex-probably the best so far-out of the 8 or so purchased.
The only possible deterrent now is having to move around over a 100 models per turn.
Yeah man, even a low model count speedy list can still put you up to and over 100 models at 2000pts.
I think that the Ork Codex gets to be funny because they get no real "exclusive fluff". All the other races/factions have supporting fluff material; much of it can be downright hilarious. I'm not just talking about fiction, but actual "support material". Have you ever read "The Imperial Infantryman's Uplifting Primer"?
"It takes a vast amount of self control to be this dangerous."

For some reason, the orks' is also the biggest codex. (The Orks' view on "humanity and its failings" was quite a joke-in a good way). Well one would do orks so long as those 120 boyz are fairly easy to paint-do you consider them easier than Dire Avengers?
Any race that smashes up daemons is quite satisfying.
If moving 100 models seems like a daunting task, a mek is you.
2 Dreads, some Meganobz, some more dreads.
As for humerous codexes, the Ork codex is definately a gold mine of giggles I like all the descriptions of death skulls, heh.
I liked the "Tuska the Daemon Killa" story and the quote about space travel. funny shite all around.
