How do orks reproduce? I've never seen female ork models. Also, are grots the cheapest models in the game, at 3 points apiece? And are there special rules for shielding your troops with grots? I'm new to orks, so bear with me.

Orcs are fungus. They reproduce threw excreting spoors and maturing underground with just large fungus exposed for nourishment. In the Orcs codex there is a nice bit of fluff about it.
Yes there are special rules for shielding your orcs with grots. They can also help them move threw difficult terrain. All the rules are found in the Codex, if you’re new to the game and want to play Orcs, I would suggest picking up the rulebook and then Codex Orcs.

Back in the old days, orks used to generate inside eachother and break out of the stomach once ready. But this has been replaced by the spore theory. And if you think there aint no fe-orks... Check out the ol' Bloodbowl cheerleader models? Eeeek!!!
