in a 1000pts game what should i use against nids tomaro. he is going to use 2 tyrants but thats all i know. i am not one craftworld i can play all of them.
please respond ASAP because i need it for tomaro.

tyrandis are hard... get some ranged unit and avoid CC. thats all i can say. so get ranged units and fast units. get the wraithlrod and flame it using some tasy flamers any weaposn that are blast template and high Assault or hevy is good agaisnt tyranids...
id say try this.
no defenders cuz the 12 inch range means u need ot get close. try guardian storms. have LARGE squads of them with a warlock and enhance to give yu the edge. yull be able to cut down enuf in shooting to desimate the remainign in cc , especially with your numbers
and for fire power take some war walkers with scattler lasers and a farseer with guide.
for the tyrants, yull want to shoot them down, aviod cc at all cost with them. so for them ill say maybe small units of star cannon platform defender squads. although this is out of fluff it would be effective since u need a 4 to wound them and they get no save.

actually... avoid CC at all COSTS!!! sure stormies can kill termagens and hormagents in CC,,, the thing is by the time u wipe them out that nasty carnifex has come or that nasty hive teyrant of those extremely nasty genestealesrrs....
you definately want scatter lasers, lots of them theyll mince through gaunts and stealers like theres no tomorrow, get some starcannons in your defender squads and they should be fine for taking out warriors, tyrants and the like

I'd say just go with star cannons, forget the scatter laser. You have a 33% chance of rolling a 1 or a 2 on a d6 and a 33% chance of rolling a 5 or a 6. So the two cancel each other out. Its cheaper than a star cannon but pretty much the same with amount of shots
I really hope they make it 2d3 shots or d3+3 next time around
This is my anti-fast orc tactic. it should be about the same for the nids as well.
Get serpants with guardian storm squads in em.
so u have 2 flamers and a warlock with the flamer power(forgot what its called).
so u have 2 squads of them
Have a seer councel with 3 warlocks with that power as well and the seers with forturne and eldrich storm.
And have vipers running around with shuriker cannons/ scatter lasers.
A squad of guardians should just about wipe out a squad of gaunts. and the serpants target the big units with there bright lances.
And theres not much they can do about your transports. they gota hit first anyway.
And also there gotta catch ya too. Fat chance.lol
So just pick the loose squads and hit em hard and make sure your not too close the the rest of her army when u jump out of the serpants. Just gota pick the right time and the right unit.
i wouls say load up on shooting, take reapers and suport weapons, load up some scattar lazers for little bugs and starcannons for big bugs. as for support wepons, i would take a shadow weaver for the killing of little bugs

I would be tempted by Siam Hann actually, loads ov vypers with scatter lasers if you like, or Eldar missile launchers (use Krack Vs tyrants etc and plasma aginst his squads, with a move of 24 he aint gonna get them, loads of bikes, I know they are expensive but with an 18 inch move he is gonna struggle to get close and with some shurken cannon in there you can do alot of damage before he does, then when he finally does get close, the rest of your bike join in with TL shuriken catapult.
I gave my lot an outing last weekend against Space wolves and once I had delt with the tanks, an assult army was just dead in the water, there were 2 assults all game, and both of those I initiated and comprised of a wild rider chief and his bodyguard charging into severely damaged squads to finish them off
