I think that a bright lance is the gun for the job. This is because in most armies the tanks are the only (or one of) things that can actually HURT a wraithlord. By having a brightlance its keeps the tanks away or enables it to counter-attack.

STAR CANNON

The star cannon will decamate space marines and most people who collect 40k use space marines.

I like starcannons cos with my ulthwe they only need 3+ then 2+ and then total death cos of AP. good gun for breaking squads!
FROM THE BOOK OF THE IMPERIUM:

1. Thou shalt not go on a panty raid in the Adaptus Soritus temple.
2. Thou shalt not flirt with Howling Banshees. They are the enemy.
3. Thou shalt not refer to Battle Sisters as Bolter Biatches
4. Darth Vader isn’t the son of Abaddon
5. Thou shalt not reassemble a Necron into a washing machine

Ummm.. Saruman, you know that it isn't just Ulthwé Wraithlords that are 3+ to hit right?

I personally think that the best weapon for the Wraithlord is the Bright Lance, and for good reasons. As a single shot tank buster you need it to hit more often than not, since killing that last enemy transport or that Land Raider Crusader could be the game maker or breaker. You also need to make sure that the brightlance will be there when you need the shot, thanks to the Wraithlords amazing toughness, wounds, and save, you can count on it to survive to dish out some anti-tank for a while.

Lastly, because the Starcannon has a better place. With your Guardians, Falcons, Vypers, and possible Walkers. Due to the lower BS and Survivability of Guardians, Vypers, and Walkers, this is where your Starcannons should be. The fact that they're multishot, means they will average out better than they would with a Brightlance.

Falcons already have a weapon that is as good or better in some cases than the Lance, the Pulse Laser, being a multishot Lance w/o the penetration, making quick work of transports and speeders, while still being able to give predators a run for their money.

I think that the Brightlance Compliments the Wraithlord Perfectly.
