I play Eldar and Dark Eldar and I have played a few apocalypse games (with balanced, fluffy armies) I was thinking about the most powerful close combat squad possible for an anything goes Apoc game, and I thought of using a Farseer with guide and fortune and all the fixins, a seer council of a bunch of warlocks with atleast one have embolden and enhance, all mounted on jetbikes, and a Dark Eldar Archite with a reaver, tormenter helm, power weapon, animus vitae, shadowfield, combat drugs and plasma grenades on a reaver.
I dont have my codei with me but thats something like 11 attacks wounding on 2+ rerolling misses plus another 6 strength 5 or 6 power weapon attacks rerolling misses, with rerollable 4++ saves (2++ rerollable on the archite!?!) and rerollable 3+ cover saves when boosting. Plus the Archite takes advantage of enhance and could almost get max weapon skill and initiative.
What do you think? Anyone else though of any over powered Apoc comboes?

chaplain and librarian with sort of the same equipment
apothecary with Plasma pistol and artificer armour

Standard bearer with plasma pistol, artificer armour and Chapter banner
all have terminator honours and furius charge... nothing ever dies completely... not even from 48 genestealers... I've seen trygons and barbed hierodules getting kicked by it, only taking one or two wounds themselves...
they're also in a complete land raider crusader...

umh no, not really...
entangled is gone, i just need to take a pinning test on 10 Ld, and I'm fearless, and I might need to make 2 or 3 2+ saves, but that's not a problem... Besides, you start the game 12" away from the enemy...
Strange, I have yet to see any attempts to create a datasheet for the Dark Eldar in Apocalypse. What I had in mind was:
1 Dark Eldar Archon + Personal Retinue (can take 2 special weapons and 2 splinter cannons) made or Warriors and Incubi.
The Archon can take Damnation Grenades (just like Cruella de Ville) in order to make use of his impressive BS.
Each member of the retinue can be upgraded to a Sybarite to take weapons from the armory.
This HQ squad will lead 3 Drachon/Drachites each with their own retinues.
The retinues may be made up of Warriors, Incubi, Wyches.
Each member of retinue can be upgraded to Sybarite to take weapons from the armory.
Special upgrades for the Archons and Drachons whole unit:
multiple Archangels of Pain with higher strength, AP
Terrofexes have large blast templates
Crucible of Malediction upgrades to have an extended 24" of protection (4+) against all Psychic attacks as well as lowering Psykers Leadership by 3 when within 24"
Enhanced Combat Drugs
The points I have yet to think about since I am writing this response right before sleeping...
