Ok, We all know that warriors can be biomorphed into almost any role using the Hive Fleet Rules. But now, if you really wanted to, you could feild almost an entire army of warriors, filling every part of the Force Organization Chart.
Warriors w/ Wings-fast attack
Warriors w/ Wings and V-cannons- Heavy Support.
That leaves only troops, but you can fill this out with spine gaunts for 80 pts.
This would give you an army of (expesive) beef. You would either be able to dominate, or get you ass handed to you.
what are your veiws on this?
Its a possibility but im not a big fan of warriors, they're too fragile to be an HQ choice (IMO) even with ExCara, however they are still quite powerful and very flexible units.
I think warriors would be best suited as:
fast attack with wings, rending claws and ST (plus biomorphs);
heavy support with all vcannons and lash whips (plus biomorphs);
And Elites should be a mix of the CC ones but with ranged weapons aswel
I say leave the HQ choice to the HT, he rocks and owns most things in cc in 40k and he can have a Str10 AP 2 ranged attack, HT rules!

I think the Warrior Legion army is a novel idea, and would be interesting to see. Kinda like the Dark Angels deathwing. The only problem is, survival. Whereas the Terminators have that nice big save of theirs, plus the invuln one on top of it, there are few weapons that will penetrate. Not to mention, the Termies would be able to deep strike, but then again so could the winged warriors... Hm. The only other thing, is we don't get transports. Not that their transport is inexpensive in points lol. It would definetely be a test of skill, as most "specialized" armies are. Cover would be a very large priority. But I think in the end it might come down more to lucky dice rolls. Not saying completely lucky, as there would be a lot of skill, but that enemy failing to hit with 6 out of 10 of his las-cannons is always a nice thing . I might go and calculate out the points cost of all the troops later to see what it'd be like. .
"Can you put that in a memo and title it '***** I already know!'"
Church: "Ok, so we're agreed? You first!"
Sarge: "Get on with it, Griff."
Griff: "I'd just like everyone to know: that I suck."
Griff: "And that I'm a girl..."
Church: "What else?"
Griff: "And I like ribbons in my hair, and I want to kiss all the boys."
Sarge: "This has to be the best surrender of all time."
The main problem of this very interesting idea (I do love the models! is that they will all get shot to hell by heavy-bolterish weaponry (Assault cannons, autocannons, etc...)
I always looked at the warriors as the poor little guys when it comes to defense
Where the gaunts have numbers and the TMCs have 2+ saves, the warriors have nothing
That's pretty much why all my warriors are shooty and not melee-types - if I rush them into battle they'll get shot down so easily
Thats the "key" for the good use of Warriors, only that!fast attack with wings, rending claws and ST (plus biomorphs);
And if u dont wont wings add a leapping attack.Nah put Rending Claws.heavy support with all vcannons and lash whips (plus biomorphs);
MEAT IS MURDER
personally i find them too fragile but give them leaping and them make a great cc support for hormagaunts and the like, esp. with a few raveners in there as well. St and rending claws all the way, bro.
Actually, yes, people have done this.
Immediately following the release of the Nid Codex, one intrepid nutball walked into GW Baltimore and bought 33 boxes of Warriors, proudly stating that he wanted to field an all-Warrior force.
He was mentioned in the back of a White Dwarf from around that point in time, and pictured standing next to a stack of warrior boxes nearly as tall as he was.
do you know whether he had any success in his games?
Unfortunately, no. He was only mentioned once in the back of a WD.
However, as I field a fairly Warrior-heavy force (two broods of six, one brood of nine) and perform pretty well with it, I suspect he does okay, depending on how original he got with his DIY genetic engineering.
I also suspet that facing 99 Warriors is a rather intimidating thing.
I would say, regardless of how good they actually are, it will look extremely cool. I love the warrior model, one of my favorites when it comes to painting To bad you only get one pair of large ST with the warrior box (and the army deal *sniff*)
