Dear fellow Eldar players,
In 5th edition all blast and ordnance weapon templates roll of scatter and subtract the ballistic skill from the scatter distance. For the case of swooping hawks deepstriking and dropping plasma grenades, do they use the BS of the regular Hawks or the BS of the Exarch leading the Hawks when rolling for scatter?
But doesn't the grenade pack state it scatters 1D6 in the codex? Considering the new rulebook explains codexs take precedence for special rulings.

"stupid overtime zombie virus."
"I'm glad that worked. Those would have been horrible last words."
The most common scatter on 2D6 will be 7 and then -5 for the exarch's BS for an average of 2 and a max scatter of 7. The 1D6 scatter has equal chances of scattering from 1-6 inches. So this is both better and worse! You can never scatter 7 inches but you have more of a chance to scatter more than 2 inches. I hope I made sense...

The way I see it, the grenade pack isn't a blast weapon per se. It's a skill of the squad so it should scatter however far it says it does(d6). The same goes for Eldritvh Storm(blast but no scatter) and Yriel's eye(again, no scatter).
