Welcome to Librarium Online!
Hey there, I am going to be starting a tau army soon, and wanted some help. Anything you guys can tell me about Tau, any helpful advice, cool conversions, anything would be appreciated.

Thanks, do you know any tutorials or guides for magnetizing? Im pretty new to 40k, and do not have any experience with it.
Also, Im pretty much only going to be playing the kids I know who have 40k, which means I will be playing either Tyranids or IG basically every game. If you could give me some info on the best ways to beat them, centered around my idea of having lots of battlesuits, tons of fire warriors, and hammerheads, and not worrying about marker lights too much.
Also, I researched a little, and apparantly Deathrains and Fireknives are the most common and effective suits, just wanted your opinion about that

K&J magnetics... I think I use 3/16" x 1/8" thick on the arms and weapons and 1/16" x 1/8" for the shoulders and support systems.
Just use a 3/16" and 1/16" drill bit, respectively, and make holes (make sure you don't drill so deep you come out the other side). You can hold the drill bit by hand or use a pin vise to make the job easier (even better pin vise here). Glue magnets in with a small amount of superglue. Just make sure you put all magnets on the model with one pole facing out and all magnets on bits with the other pole facing out, or else things won't go where they're supposed to. You can put the magnets in without gluing first to make sure it's right, and do it the same way on every suit. I mark one pole on each magnet with a marker or grease pencil to make sure I don't make a mistake.
Stealth suits are your friend. One unit of 6 plain stealth suits can do lots of damage. I like mobile tau, but either way the firewarrirors will do plenty of damage to both armies you mentioned. Hammerheads are best with the Rail Gun for both anti-tank/monstrous creature (with the solid shot) and anti-infantry (with the sub-munition) duties.

thanks for the help - if you dont mind me asking, where in eastern PA do you live? Im like 45 min outside of Philly
Hammerheads with railguns will be your best friend against IG and 'Nids. Great for killing tanks or warriors and the sub-munition will make short work of most Guard and Bugs....(hope the IG guys don't have the carapace armor equipment choice). Stealth suits will be good to because of the amount of shots you can get from them. Also lots of Firewarriors will always be fun
