Welcome to Librarium Online!
If I read the rulebook properly (I dont have one to hand at the moment), then we can move 18" then disembark and shoot.....
At first I thought this wasnt so great as Avengers have an 18" range anyway.
Then I thought of Fire Dragons.
Oh God, carnage =)
Thoughts and clarification?
would be sweet but i dont think u can do it, i dont have rule book with me but any vehicle that moves more then 12" due to its flat out fast vehicle status cant pick up or drop off units.
i could be wrong tho but thats how i remember it.

Just checked and if a fast vehicle has moved or is going to move at flat out, passengers cannot embark or disembark.
if you read the rule book agien you will find fast skimmers can move 24" fice them star engines thats another 12" in the shooting phase. thats 36" of OMG
Death to the emperor, free u self from lie lies of the imperium, only with us shall u be free and endure the riches of the exinos.
yes but 24'' or 36'' gets you exactly where you want, doesnt matter for shooty units but a squad of assault unis can wait until next turn and then charge out, its seems like its pretty hard in 5th edition to have to emergency disembark or become entangled if your using vectored engines, what does everyone else think?
In 5th ed., unless I'm mistaken, you can't assault the turn you disembark, only shoot. I don't have a rulebook on hand though.
you can't even disembark from a fast vehicle if it moves. Which sucks, because I have 11 serpents/falcons I don't even like anymore =(
And I can't use my vyper as a 50pt cruise missile, becuse 'only tanks can ram' T.T

Yes you can! =S
Its only if it moves flat out you cant disembark. And thats 13-24"
1-6"=fire all guns, crew can get in and out normally
7-12"=fire one main and all defensive weapons, crew get in and out normally
13-24"= no shooting or disembarking-embarking.
