Which of the 4 Tyrants works better as the first Hive Tyrant in an army (750pts)
Its not as simple as picking a configuration and saying that ones best, it all depends on the army your facing and what else your taking. However id go with the wings and 2 devourers.
Id really advise you to get some 6mm x 0.5mm rare earth neodymium magnets. The fit the arm sockets of the tyrant perfectly and enable you to swap your weapon configurations on the fly.
i do like the dakka flyrant... but in 750pts ill take the slightly cheaper winged and scything taloned tyrant. i rather not invest alot in 1 guy in small points and rather have lots of cheap guys... though then i'd probably just use warriors in 750 xD. probably just cause when i switch from my death guard to play 'nids or orks i feel i should be able to triple my number from what my death guard had at that point level.
I'm using a flying tyrant with scything talons for 750 and I'm adding another walker w/ devourers in my 1250 pts.
I do like the Dakka Flyrant, though with only 1 Tyrant being able to fly I thought a CC one should have wings.
I think the winged Tyrant with devourers would be my choice. This is because you are talking about a small game of 750 points. The Hive tyrant with devourers and wings will perform best in a small game like that. I prefer winged Hive tyrants with Scything talons but they work best in games that aren't so budget constrained as they are pricey. Of course if you want to pick on smaller things such as HQ's the scything-type Tyrant will be very good at it, better than the devourer armed one.
What's the rest of your army look like? Are you playing under 5th edition? Who will be your primary opponents?

No single unit should ever determine an army.
Every unit should play but one part - including your HQ.
Sure, it's possible to build an army around a hive tyrant... but it all depends on what you want and how you want the army to play.

Do not take this the wrong way, but I do not believe that the army you are facing should have anything to do with the models that you use. I am a huge believer in developing lists that you like to play, be it competitive or not, and playing whoever would like to play. Not in swapping out units that may be less optimized to play against a certain opponent.
I like to use flying CC tyrants with very few bio-morphs or a ground and pound devourer tyrant because i like the feel of a CC monster crashing into an opponents lines just as much as i like the pure destructive power of devourer tyrants.
