I am playing a staff member at my local shop. I played him once and well to be honest he absolutly thrased me. It was my first game with my new eldar army and he used eldar. Hed been using them for awhile.
Well to make a long story short were having a rematch. I know what his army is its listed below its 750 points could anybody give me some recommendations on what army to field.
1farseer with spirit stones doom and guide and fortune with 3 warlocks with unknown powers
Two squads of twenty guardians with two warlocks with conceal and a star cannon
One vyper with a missile launcher.
This is my planned army
eldrad ulhuan with a four warlock bodyguard with conceal, embolden ,enhance, spirit seerx1 singing spearx1
Five dire avengers with two shurkien catapults exarch bladestorm
16 guardians with scatter laser warlock conceal
wraithlord with flamer catapult missile launcher and scatter laser

If I were you, I would leave Eldrad and all other special characters at home. Take a regular ol' Farseer, keep him nice and cheap, and focus on other things. It seems to me like his list has a lack of anti-tank; why don't you take a squad of Dire Avengers with a Wave Serpent? Also, in combat Striking Scorpions would munch on his Guardians, so they may be a viable unit to take, as well. When taking Guardians, take no more than 10 in a squad if you can help it (units of 11 including the Warlock with Conceal), and take Scatter Lasers with them. The Wraithlord should be a pretty solid addition to the list as well.
The trick in games of lower points is to get as many solid units you can out there; don't waste points on overly expensive characters. I'd recommend ditching Eldrad and his Warlocks and going with a Farseer without a bodyguard, just toss him into a unit.
Lost Nemesis is right, while Eldrad is cool he is too expensive for a game this size. I'd take the farseer with runes of warding/witnessing to put a damper on his pskyer casting ability (and minize yours if he tries the same). I'd use the extra points to add to your dire avenger unit because once his guardians get in range those guys are toast with that few models. With more guys you can get more shots and limit the retun fire once he is in range in the next turn.
Okay so what if i take this instead
Farseer: Warding doom guide
10 avengers: two guns exarch bladestorm
20 guardians: warlock, conceal,scatterlaser,singing spear
Wraithlord: wraithsword,scatter laser
6 scorpions exarch: infiltrate, chainsabres
ahhhhh, dont mix catapault and flamer on wl!
The Hand that guides.
id drop your guardian squad by 10, and add in 3-4 more scorps, whichever you can with the points you have. and burning hand is right, id personally take the flamer with your opponent having that many guardians. your 2 flamers will TEAR HIM UP. seriously. especially with the new rules regarding templates. if you catch him grouping his guardians close together, which he probably will, taking that many, you will rock his friggin world; possibly taking out 5-7 per flamer, per round. all you have to do is just make sure that your WL makes it to his front lines, without taking too much damage. i would suggest possibly taking a spiritseer with your WL and giving him either conceal, or the flamer spell, as that would add another possible 5-7 dead guardians.
hope this helps,
