Welcome to Librarium Online!
Do you think there will be new models in the codex, I think they will not be but I have some good ideas.
*Necron Giant [bigger verison of a warrior]
*Necron Heavy Immortal [as powerful as 3 immortals]
*New Necron god [new C'tan god]
*Necron Tomb Raiders [Small Nightbringer like monsters]
Maybe some good forgeworld things would be good, I dont like the Pylon just by looks.
The thing is that the Necrons have probably the one of the smallest Model ranges and I would like to think some more would be coming out what are your opionons.
mabey a light destroyer with a warrior on it insted of an imortal or giving it a gauss blaster instead of the cannon and have it as a new troop type, or destroyer/pariah things like Dlords
I'd also review the rules of flayed ones. They are pretty unused cuz of the strict deepstrike rules. When deployed they can't assault, have no shootin weapon patiently wait and prair not to be killed on the following oponent shooting phase!
There's only 1 type of core unit no other choice. How about some new core units?
I like the idea of a new C'tan.. Maybe the Machine God?
Although a dread sounds f'n awesome I don't see it happening since there are already 3 choices for Heavies..plus there are 3 Fasts, and elites. The only thing I can think that GW would actually do is either allow for Flayed Ones to be taken as a troop choice (Given that a certain type of HQ leads the army I assume) or allow troop weapons to be upgraded (Maybe something similar to a Heavy Gauss Cannon or a Particle Whip with a small blast template). I don't mean to be a downer but we all know how GW operates. They rarely come out with some exciting new model.
The most likely C'tan to be released is the Outsider, the Void Dragon (Omnissiah/ Machine God) IS a possibilty however unlikely. Would be nice to see them, however their power is suitable only in Appoc games a full-power C'tan should cost at LEAST 600pts really.
I wonder if maybe a special unit for each C'tan...wait no chaos did that...
most likely in 1.5-2 years when we get our new codex (unless the give marines another one first...) there will be a couple new pieces of wargear some rule tweaks and a bunch of annoyingly generalized rules. I'm hoping that the Necrons are actually opened up a bit more than that but only time will tell.
Flayed ones are a likely candidate for troops really, given the placement of such units as thousand sons and wraithguard in the same FOC slot.
Flayed ones work rather well infiltrated as opposed to deepstruck.
Dreads are (like so many unit types) just not very Necronish. Necrons are an infantry force (with a few flying beetle-centaur-things and pyramid/tanks) hulking monstrous warmachines of that sort don't sound like something the C'tan would let them have. Think about it, what kind of ideas would you be giving your demi-mindless followers if you let them become giants whose strength rivals your own?
That and Dreads would be just one more step into the horrible land of the GW race cookie-cutter that they used on Chaos/Eldar/Marines/Orks, next thing we'd get would be our own coffins on treads.
I'd disagree with that. IG is one of the best, so is TAU...but if their majority go toe to toe with anyone (even us) they go down hard! I'd say we're TOUGH so our range was reduced so we couldn't take everything down, plus we can escape CC through a variety of ways! I agree our S9 AP2 weapon is weak, but still we have space marine durability, WBB, and auto glance/wounding weaponry on even our most basic of troops!

I think it be cool if they made a Necron Dreadnaught ot a Necron Defiler (like using a destroyer body and putting legs on it)
