Welcome to Librarium Online!
Ok i don't use any Runtherders, i don't use grot squads(although i'm still deciding on the future, plastic grot rumors surfacing) nor do i have one in with my bigguns.
But in the 5th edition rulebook as well as 2 different spots in the Ork Codex, the runtherder seems to have 3 different sets of stats, i know posting unit stats is against terms, so i'm gonna try to just state what models they are similar too.
Ok on page 298 of the 5th rulebook, it states that teh Runtherder has the same stats of a Nob
In the Ork Army list, under the troops section the runtherder has the same stats as a normal boy, and under the Heavy section is has the same stats as a boy, but with 2 wounds instead.
Now a fellow ork player of mind where we play uses 2 gretchin mobs, fully equiped with 3 Herders each(6 total), now, in his modesty, he plays them as normal ork boys, not trying to cheese his way out(no they are nobs man!! look at that whip!) But we're both curious as to which is the real stat, we have yet to find a FAQ, and GWs site never seems to wanna load when i do a search.
If anyone has a link a FAQ about this, or maybe just wants to post his opinion on the matter, please do. Not to hold my friend back on a little extra muscle, but a 10 point nob(15 with a prodder) sounds a little too good to eb true... even if grabba sticks doo suck
There are multiple stat typos in the rulebook so usual procedure is to go by the codex.
I'm pretty certain that the stat in the heavy section is also a typo. In the troops section as well as in the middle of the codex amid all the fluff they have regular ork boy stats so that's what I would go by.
Hope this helps!
"Orks have to be followers of Nurgle! They're green, smell bad, and just want to spread the fun!"
Zatnugg is right use the stats of a normal boy, as that is essentially what they are a boy with a whip and attack squig, that's stats they had in the 3rd ed codex and i don't see why they would change.

If you ever get the GW site to load the ork FAQ for 5th ed states the actual stats to use, and has other corrections for stats and special rules like the runtherd, warbiker squad nob, dakka guns etc. Its all in there you just have to get the errata section to load and download it.

thx everyone, and yea Nova... the GW site never likes to load anything ever
BTW a Guargant Squiggoth can own a Warhound, is 500 dollars really worth revenge though? start mowing lawns now
There's also the problem that half the time when you say Runtherder, people don't know what you're talking about until you say Grot Slaver.
