I feel like it depends on what the rest of your army is armed with, depending on which list I'm my weapon will change. Personally I'm a fan of the bright lances and the shuri cannon just so it has a little bit of flexibility.
Rheagar fought nobly
Rheagar fought valiantly
Rheagar fought honorably
And Rheagar died.
BL cause my army always need good anti-tank

"I'm glad that worked. Those would have been horrible last words."
Depending on what else I'm fielding, I'll have either TL scatter lasers or TL EMLs.
BLs are only really useful for against land raiders. With their speed, wave serpents should have no issue hitting side armor on most vehicles, in which case using the EMLs is cheaper pointwise.
Usually my DA are carted around in TL-BL Serpents, while my Banshees and Phoenix Tail formation of Fire Dragons are carted in a TL-EML Shuricannon Serpent.
