What's up with all the missing bits in model sets? I buy a Hammerhead I expect to have all the damn upgrade options. At the very least I should be able to buy the bits separately. As it is now, I'm having serious problems keeping my army consistent with its VYSIWYG...
Well it does come with sensor spines, a targeting array, and some other bits that can be used to represent things such as disruption pods. I never really saw the need for GW to include anything more than what already comes in the HH box.
This is a slightly different situation but I bought an LR crusader in the past and it was missing all of the metal crusader bits, and a chaos marauder set that I bought was missing all of the shields and some arms! <---------that, is what GW really has to work on
Not really sure if this relates, but did you buy the actual Hammerhead box or the Sky Ray box?
The sky ray comes with all the parts to make a hammerhead+more... Making the hammerhead box obsolete. (They are the same price as well). I have had no trouble with parts for my hammerhead, but it came in a sky ray box, so that may be why.
Well, it had the rail gun and ion cannon when I bought it, which was around a year ago.
I bought one of the three-vehicle Skyray Missile Defence boxes from Direct Sales recently. Two Skyrays, 1 Devilfish: I could make three DFs, three Hammerheads of whichever weapon or two Skyrays and my choice of the other two from the three sealed boxes in the delivery.
Posted this just to prove that the Skyray box set still has all those sprues in it.
